General Scope of Role: This role is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and executing the strategic planning, development, and implementation of all marketing initiatives for 67 Pall Mall Shanghai. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and managerial skills to drive brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. This role is responsible for launching and embedding the 67 Pall Mall brand in Mainland China through strategic marketing, communications, and brand-led campaigns. The Marketing Manager will oversee localised execution of global strategies while tailoring initiatives to the Chinese market and cultural context. The Marketing Manager will drive awareness, shape positioning, and help build a robust member base by engaging high-net-worth individuals, wine professionals, and luxury lifestyle audiences. The role requires a strong understanding of integrated marketing, digital and content creation, luxury branding, and media engagement, with a hands-on approach to execution and a can-do attitude.
Key Deliverables:
Brand & Strategic Marketing Formulate and implement the Shanghai club’s local marketing plan in alignment with the group brand vision and goals.
Position the brand credibly among HNW individuals, wine professionals, and discerning consumers.
Establish 67 Pall Mall as the leading wine-focused private members’ club in China through media engagement, partnerships, and events.
Build strong networks with luxury brands, wine trade professionals, and media contacts.
Maintain and uphold the integrity of the 67 Pall Mall identity, acting as a steward of the brand and ensuring all operations is in line with our global identity.
Campaigns & Content
Copywriting and upkeep liaisons with media.
Oversee digital marketing activities including curating weekly newsletters, social media content, calendars and paid advertising.
Curate and maintain localised messaging that remains consistent with global tone and branding guidelines.
Work closely with designers to develop the materials for appropriate audiences, while upholding branding guidelines and ensuring consistency of branding across all channels of communications.
Coordinate and execute the development of collaterals (event invites, brochures, etc.) tailored to key audiences.
Ensure the production and delivery of corporate stationery and collaterals to the various business units, negotiating and liaising with vendors, agencies, and suppliers to optimise costs while maintaining quality standards.
Digital & PR
Oversee all digital marketing, including social media (WeChat, RED, Douyin), web content, and digital advertising.
Create and manage paid media plans, SEO/SEM, and influencer partnerships. Liaise with PR agencies and luxury publications to secure consistent coverage.
Write and adapt copy for press releases, corporate communications, and bilingual materials (Chinese/English).
Events, Partnerships & Membership Support
Support Shanghai’s membership acquisition strategy through targeted campaigns and promotional events.
Assist to identify collaboration and sponsorship opportunities and make recommendations to management for potential partnerships.
Promote in-club events and private hire spaces to relevant external audiences.
Drive and champion brand-aligned collaborations together with the membership and events teams
Operations & Administration
Oversee day-to-day marketing operations, including coordination of vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Manage the marketing budget with accountability for cost control and ROI.
Track and report on KPIs, lead generation, engagement, campaign performance, and brand reach.
Provide regular reporting to HQ and attend regional marketing syncs.
Any other responsibilities as assigned
Business Context:
This role will play a pivotal part in the successful opening and growth of our Shanghai club — our flagship entry into Mainland China. It supports the Group’s broader ambition to expand the 67 Pall Mall experience across Asia-Pacific. This role requires a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and who can translate global luxury standards into culturally relevant activations.
Key Attributes:
Essential
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in marketing for F&B, luxury and/or lifestyle industries. Comfortable working in an alcohol lifestyle industry.
Impeccable and versatile oral and writing skills in Mandarin. Fluency in British English is a plus.
Proactive with solid judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with keen attention to detail.
Eye for aesthetics, knowledge of Adobe Suite and Canva is a plus.
Extremely resourceful, well-organised and willing to share ideas.
A team player and independent project manager in a fast-paced environment.
A strong researcher with the ability with the ability to filter through, simplify, and summarise information into easy-to-understand text.
