Essential requirements:

Qualification certificate of
psychological counselor: hold a nationally certified psychological
counselor qualification certificate.
2+ years experience of providing
individual and group counselling services in a school setting and/or to
children in a clinical setting
Specialized knowledge in mental health
education, including common psychological problems, psycho-educational
methods, etc.
Organised, outcome-focused, team
player, positive but realistic
Fluent in Mandarin to native level – so
basically a local staff position, or overseas Chinese staff position in
some special case
English
skills for daily use in the school, and for communicating with teachers
etc., but not required for the actual counselling sessions which can be
delivered in Mandarin.

Desirable requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's
degree or higher in psychology or related field.
Teacher's qualification certificate
(for leadership) skills and experience
in leading a team
