Description of position:
The Assistant eCommerce Web Manager is responsible for assisting the eCommerce Web Manager in support of everyday operations of Costco China's eCommerce multi-platforms, release of content, Platform availability, production releases and system testing, as well as managing and supporting continuous improvement projects to increase eCom Platforms traffic, drive conversion rates on the platforms and improve overall user experience. Assist to lead, build and develop the web and marketing team to support projects to meet Costco's strategic goals.
Daily tasks and responsibilities:
? Assist in overseeing the activity and productivity of day-to-day web and marketing activities, including
○ Assist on monitoring and delivering platform availability, production releases and system testing.
○ Assist eCom web and marketing related UAT testing and launch of new functions.
○ Assist in SEO and content strategy and optimisation on eCommerce platforms.
○ Assist in content related system processes and data synchronization between systems.
○ Assist with marketing initiatives including online registration, online campaigns and promotions, print materials, online and warehouse promotions and other mediums.
○ Initiate, plan and budget for eCom marketing plan, events and special projects
○ Report and track system issues, and create/maintain SOP from lessons learned.
○ Optimize the eCom customer journey experience of the web for driving traffic and conversion rate.
? Cross team collaborations with eCom merchandising, platform operations and inline corporate marketing to maintain eCom Platforms content, effective operations and ongoing development of eCommerce Platforms.
? Work closely with the internal Costco teams, development team and outside partners/vendors in an agile environment to clearly communicate functionality needs to deliver ongoing eCom platforms improvements.
? Maintain a high standard of work, delegating across team members and evaluating quality assurance on the team members’ work
○ Following and communicating company updates and new information to internal team.
○ Assist to lead, build and develop the web and marketing teams to support the company’s strategic goals.
? Monitor effective web/marketing operations and ongoing web improvements and development, including
○ Collaborating with other managers within the eCom department, local internal teams including
merchandising, inline marketing, Operations and MIS, global internal teams including business readiness and IT.
○ Working with relevant parties to resolve eCom Platforms issues in a timely and acceptable manner
○ Optimizing, supporting and communicating continuous eCom Platforms functionality improvement projects to increase traffic, drive conversion rates on the eCom Platforms and improve user experience while taking account of customer feedback and analytics data.
? Maintain up-to-date understanding of best practices, developments of internet commerce and marketing.
? Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
? 5 years proven success and experience in eCom business-to-consumer (B2C) transactional platforms and online-2-offline business(O2O).
? Experience with hands-on management of day-to-day eCom tasks and executing large eCom projects.
? Experience working with 3rd party development teams and local and foreign outside partners/vendors in an Agile development environment.
? Experience with eCom content and marketing systems and analytics tools (hybris, JIRA, Strapi, JRNL, DM Hub, MA, CDP, Wecom, SQL, etc.)
? Resourceful and versatile in responding to a rapidly changing eCom environment. Ability to solve problems quickly and think creatively.
? Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
? Proficiency in business English. Strong English and Chinese oral and written communication and presentation skills.
