The post holder will complete a range of supporting duties within SPRING classes and communal areas and complete preparatory work to support the smooth running of the centre. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Classroom Duties: ? Prepare assigned materials and resources in accordance to the SPRING curriculum guidelines and lesson plans ? Ensure class teaching materials are sourced and purchased responsibly, following company financial procedures and within set monthly resource budgets ? Support and assist the teaching team with setting up of classrooms, communal areas and display work as instructed by Senior Teacher and Early Years Teachers ? Provide in-class translation of English instruction into Chinese instruction to support non-English speaking parents or caregivers in the classrooms where assigned ? Understand key areas of the SPRING class curriculum frameworks, lesson plans and learning objectives of activities to help support caregiver understanding of the SPRING programmes ? Report to and communicate with Centre Manager and Senior Teacher about centre related and class feedback Environment & families: ? Work to support any fair and reasonable requests that families may have in relation to SPRING Learning classes ? Provide on-site support for families and children that are using play facilities. ? Ensure that all members use the equipment as designed, in safety and with responsibility ? Support caregivers and children with the suitable information about how to play in each equipment area and improve each family’s experience and understanding of SPRING PLAY facilities ? When available, be prepared to help non-Chinese-native speaking Early Years Teachers communicate with parents regarding their children’s progress ? Maintain professional confidentiality at all times ? Be an appropriate role model in the management and support of children ? Promote and model correct hygiene and health procedures ? Ensure the storage of equipment is safe, not blocking exits and walkways, and is of neat appearance Fellow staff members: ? Assist the management team as required, encouraging team work among all staff members ? Assist with planning and executing special events such as but not limited to; cultural days, concert shows, outings, charity events and strategic partner collaborations ? Attend and contribute to monthly staff meetings, professional development courses and curriculum planning meetings as organized by Management ? Participate in in-service training and workshops as applicable/available ? Hold valid and keep current a First Aid Certificate ? Take part in Early Years Teacher observations as part of ongoing professional training Management: ? Adhere to the employment requirements outlined in the Labor Contract and SPRING Employment Handbook ? Understand the required flexibility of operations in an Education centre and complete all reasonable assigned tasks from Senior Management to support the smooth running of the centre
