Brief description of the position:Ensuring the fulfillment of the quality objectives of the purchased parts in the area of responsibility, both in terms of dimensions, materials, functionality and reliability of use in the field, taking into account all legal regulations. Implementing and monitoring the necessary steps to achieve customer satisfaction and carry out the process of qualifying purchased parts. Key Tasks:Assessment of components and initiation of measures to improve the pre-series. Ensure the necessary maturity level for each PEP milestone of purchased parts by following the VW QPNI and monitoring the supplierExecution of the sampling and Production Process Approval (PPA) of the purchased parts, according to VDA-2Introduce and represent Q concerns in QA sets and Fachteams as well as other cross-functional product and project rounds. Cooperation with other departments and business groupsExamination and grading of first samples (sampling of purchased parts) and/or engineering changes: - Initiation of dimensional incl. Cubing/Meisterbock, material and functional testing of first samples as well as assembly test - Gathering of the individual results and, if correct, granting the approvalEvaluation and conduct the release proposal of engineering change requests, parts modifications proposal and deviation permits.Analysis and solution of purchased parts claims at the VW manufacturing line, conduct the FAP in cooperation with suppliers. Evaluate and release the corrective measures of purchased part complaints.Improve supplier products and processes in order to achieve the quality targets. Audit the product at the supplier and at the VW manufacturing line, making sure that it is specification compliant and the manufacturing process and quality can be granted. Execution of technical revisions at suppliersProcessing of non-quality parts, and block the rejected materials, as well as clarification of the required parts or corresponding expenses. Assure that the parts assembled in the cars are according with the released standardsDevelop proposals to improve the part concept, processes to improve the Quality with/at suppliers and pursuing the implementation of executed measures. L1/2/3 meetings according to the Critical Suppliers Program, incl. C-warningDetermination of the technical factors after analysis and organization of the corresponding meetings with suppliersQualification and skills required for the position:Degree in Engineering or other higher technical education: ideally in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or a related field.Hands on experience with production processes and quality requirements in the automotive industry;Expertise in collaborating with suppliers,ensuring q-standards across the supply chainKnowledge of quality methods: FMEA, QPN and 8D Emotional stability Communication and presentation skills Project management Analytical thinking Solution promoter Capacity of Analysis Availability to travel English for daily communication
