Position Overview:
The position will be
part of a global R&D team providing Product and Engineering Support for
burners,
valves, heat
exchangers, etc. within the Honeywell Thermal Solutions (HTS) business. The individual will
be responsible for:
? Development of
customer specials and performing value engineering (VE).
? Supporting new
product development with Voice of Customer (VOC) input obtained through
normal job activities.
? Implementing
engineering change per product continuation, improvement, or cost reduction.
? Cost analysis and
investigation of the market requirements for new devices.
? Accomplishment of
design tests, evaluation, and enhancement.
? Effective support for
manufacturing, quality, sales and other cross functions for new product
introduction, and
maintenance of current product lines, quality issues and manufacturing
problems.
? Supporting
certifications.
? Driving the results
required by the business and behaviours.
Qualifications:
? Master/bachelor’s
degree of thermal energy or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
? 1 to 3 years of
engineering experience with burners, gas valve, blower, or other mechanical
industry product
design.
? Excellent written
& verbal communication skills and relationship building skills.
? Self-motivated and
team-oriented personality.
? Interested in working
in fast paced, global business environment.
? Able to work in
global collaborating environment with intensive challenges.
? Travel up to 10% of
the time is required in this role.
? Drive for results.
Skills:
? Excellent skills on
Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.
? Knowledge of
materials such as cast steel, spheroidal iron, aluminum, stainless steel,
plastics,
elastomers and
experience of different global material norms.
? Knowledge of heat
treatment methods and surface treatment methods. ? Knowledge of manufacturing
processes such as multi-axis CNC machining, sand casting,
investment, forging,
aluminum die casting, plastic injection molding, sheet metal forming,
welding.
? Simulation skills
would be plus.
? MS-Office / SAP
