The AI for R&D Project Support (AI-PRO) group, a dedicated team in digital R&D, aims to bridge the gap between scalable digital R&D AI products and the specific AI needs of each R&D project. We strive to deliver innovative quick wins that accelerate drug development processes and increase the probability of success. AIPRO is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AI/ML scientist in the field of image/vision to advance translational and clinical studies in China. The candidate will develop and implement state-of-the-art AI algorithms for analyzing biomedical images, identifying clinically meaningful biomarkers, and collaborating with engineers to create and deploy image applications to accelerate clinical studies.
Responsibilities
? Develop and implement state-of-the-art AI algorithms for image processing, segmentation, object identification, and interpretation, focusing on CT, MRI, IHC, H&E, lab animal video data, or other image modalities used in biological research.
? Develop and embed automated processes for predictive model building, testing, and validation.
? Develop and deploy E2E image analysis solutions to empower translational or clinical studies by collaborating with translational scientists, data scientists, data architects, software engineers, business analysts, and user interface designers.
? Provide detailed technical documentation to ensure reproducibility and knowledge transfer.
? Work with an interdisciplinary team of highly accomplished scientists to push the AI frontiers in disease understanding, patient stratification, biomarker identification, and drug discovery and development.
Qualifications
? M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
? Hands-on experience in applying machine learning/deep learning to medical image analysis. Experience in IHC, H&E, and CT image analysis is preferred.
? Proficiency in image segmentation, object identification, 3D construction, feature extraction, quantitative analysis techniques, etc.
? Applied knowledge of image/vision data modalities used in biological research or clinical settings.
? Relevant publication track record in machine learning applications and AI/ML methods
? Strong understanding of advanced machine learning algorithms and AI systems.
? Proficient in programming in AI platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras and has rich experience in collaborative development platforms such as GitHub. A personal GitHub link is required to assess coding skills. Experience in using SAM to analyze medical images is preferred.
? Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
? Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
