Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Power Storage & Lighting Control products, you will own end-to-end mechanical design for NPI (New Product Introduction)/TCO (Total Cost Out) projects—from concept to mass production. Lead design implementation to meet customer needs, specs, and business objectives (cost, timeline, quality). Collaborate globally to deliver innovative, compliant, and manufacturable solutions optimized for performance, aesthetics, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
· Design Leadership: Own mechanical design & DFM (Design for Manufacturing) for NPI/TCO projects; create 3D models (SolidWorks/Creo) & 2D drawings. Lead concept-to-mass production design, validate performance (strength, thermal), aesthetics (ID alignment), and reliability via FEMA, tolerance analysis, and risk assessment.
· Compliance & Reliability: Ensure adherence to global standards (UL/FCC); partner with quality teams on reliability testing (lifecycle, environmental, vibration) and corrective actions.
· Collaboration & Delivery: Align with hardware/ID/TPM/global teams to resolve design-production conflicts, ensure on-time NPI/TCO delivery; support TPM with supplier coordination and technical solutions.
· Manufacturing & Suppliers: Optimize DFM with suppliers (stamping, die-casting, injection, sheet metal); manage tooling qualification (first-piece/pilot/mass production approval); address production issues (assembly, yield).
· Documentation & Process: Manage BOM via Salesforce Propel PLM; prepare technical data (drawings, test reports) for reviews; develop/test evaluation plans with teams.

Qualifications Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field; 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for Power Storage/lighting control products.
· Proficiency in 3D modeling (SolidWorks/Creo) and 2D drawing
· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping, die-casting, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and certification standards (UL/FCC).
· Proven track record in NPI project delivery, supplier collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork; fluent in English (written/spoken).
· Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Able to manage and prioritize complicated tasks
