Responsibilities
Because of the nature of this post, many responsibilities cannot be allocated a time percentage as they are ongoing throughout the day:
1. Work alongside and under the guidance of the lead teacher, supporting access to children’s learning and the management of the classroom.
2. Clearly communicate with the children
3. Clearly communicate with the adults
4. To have knowledge of the appropriate curriculum
5. To encourage the social, emotional and personal development of each child
6. To show competence in working alongside the teacher to prepare and maintain the classroom environment
7. To work alongside the teacher to promote and maintain a healthy and safe learning environment .Where responsibilities have been allocated a time percentage, this is only indicative and will vary according to the class and time of year.
8. Encourage and support individual or groups of children engaged in
curriculum activities
9. Clearly pass on information between parents and the teachers as required
10. To take part in planning meetings
11. To supervise and support children outside of the classroom
12. To assist in observation and record keeping as required
13. To plan and evaluate activities for the curriculum under supervision
14. To provide administrative class support as required
And any other job or function given to you by the person to whom you report.
Required
? 2-3 years related working experiences
? Ability to build relationships with other team member
? Ability to express her/his view on related work openly
? College degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
? Good attitude to work, sense of initiative and strong responsibility
? Good computer skills-including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and email
? Ability to handle multiple task simultaneously
? Fluency in English and Mandarin
? Ability to speak Korean (desirable)
? Support wider school life and participate in school events occasionally outside of school hours
