Responsibilities
STEM
Manage the ordering accounts for technology department codes and handle the submission of associated administrative workflows in the system.
Administer and ensuring maintenance and organization of electronics for Raspberry Pi platforms and LEGO tools and equipment.
Support and prepare the activities during school events organized by the Technology department, such as Tech EXPO, Halloween fairs, House STEM, CCA’s and hackathon.
Inventory control of the SE21’s resources. Frequent maintenance of machines and manage the annual machine’s checking list.
Support for the students and teachers working in the DT workshop and within the SE21 program including robotics and basic workshop tools.
Support with the preparation of materials as requested by colleagues, (machine use such as band saw, table saw, thicknesser planer desirable.)
Carry out any other duty as may reasonably be required by the Head of Senior School or the Head of Department.
EdTech
Manage procurement processes for CETI and Junior School MakerSpace resources, including sourcing, ordering, and maintaining records for EdTech and Maker equipment.
Administer and ensure the maintenance, organization, and safe storage of EdTech resources in CETI, including VR headsets, robotics kits, 3D printers, and other digital learning tools.
Manage and develop the Junior School MakerSpace, including inventory control, upkeep of machines, and the implementation of an annual maintenance checklist.
Support teaching and learning in the MakerSpace by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and assisting teachers and students during lessons, workshops, and extracurricular activities.
Collaborate with the EdTech team to design and implement new MakerSpace projects, activities, and initiatives that enhance creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning.
Provide technical support and training to staff and students in the use of MakerSpace and CETI resources.
Carry out any other duty as may reasonably be required by the Director of EdTech and Innovation.
Skills and Experience Required
Required
? Proven experience in managing procurement, including sourcing, ordering, budget tracking, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
? Strong technical skills in maintaining, troubleshooting, and safely operating a range of equipment, including 3D printers, laser cutters, VR headsets, robotics kits, Raspberry Pi platforms, LEGO tools, and basic workshop machinery.
? Demonstrated ability to manage and organize workshop or MakerSpace environments, ensuring safety, accessibility, and efficient resource use.
? Experience supporting teaching and learning by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and assisting staff and students during lessons, workshops, and events.
? Knowledge of health and safety protocols in workshop, lab, or technology-rich environments.
? Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and external suppliers.
? Competence with common administrative and productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office/Google Workspace) for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
Desired
? Experience working in a school, educational, or training environment.
? Familiarity with STEM/DT educational tools and platforms (e.g., Arduino, LEGO Spike/EV3, micro:bit).
? Skills in digital fabrication, including CAD design and operation of CNC or laser cutting equipment.
? Experience delivering or supporting hands-on workshops, extracurricular activities, or large-scale events such as hackathons, fairs, or exhibitions.
? Ability to train and support staff and students in the safe and effective use of EdTech, MakerSpace, and workshop resources.
? Basic knowledge of programming, electronics, or physical computing for educational projects.
