We are looking for a Service Engineer for our Railway Sector, Industrial Technology at our location of Beijing, China.
Your tasks:
- On-site technical support for customers and ZF plants to analyze product failures
- Analyzing and contributing to resolve quality/service problems (related to the gearboxes) at customer end and at ZF
- Gearbox repair or modification at customer end in order to solve quality issues
- Claims management (field failures) and analysis together with ZF plant and ZF Service
- Providing training to technical service staff of customer and ZF
- Close cooperation with technical service teams in Friedrichshafen
- Customer relationship management with technical & service departments of local OEMs
Your profile:
- Basic engineering know-how for railway gearbox applications and/or systems in general (e.g. bogy)
- Capability of gearbox assembly and repair, capable of failure analysis of defective gearboxes. Capability to create 8D reports and resolution of quality problems
- Has analytical, structured and organized working method. Has problem solving and conflict management skills
- Good communication and presentation skills also towards customers. Intercultural competencies (Germany-China)
- Ability to work under little supervision (high independence). Reliability of task completion and follow-up of pending issues. High sense of responsibility and compliant working approach
- Willingness for business travel
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in service and product failure analysis activities. High customer orientation and flexibility. The candidate should feel comfortable in a dynamically changing environment with a rapidly expanding customer and product base. Global cooperation and team work is daily business. The candidate must be a fast learner and get know how in multiple products.
