What you’ll do:
As the Regional Category Manager for Capital, this role drives strategic sourcing across APAC sites, with responsibility for capital contract development, negotiation, and supplier management. It will lead the deployment of sourcing initiatives in alignment with Eaton’s supplier governance framework, managing strategic sourcing for medium to high-value Capex and Opex projects. Through cross-functional collaboration, the role will advance supplier consolidation, improve payment and delivery terms, and deliver cost-effective outcomes that support enterprise-wide objectives.
● Develop and execute capital sourcing strategies aligned with Eaton’s enterprise goals, including operating for growth, DPO optimization, sustainability, and compliance.
● Manage regional indirect procurement and strategic sourcing for medium to high-value Capex and Opex projects (>$250K) and all Automation Projects , ensuring supplier reliability, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
● Drive supplier consolidation and performance across cost, quality, delivery, and risk dimensions; optimize payment and delivery terms while implementing measurable cost-saving initiatives.
● Lead program management efforts to drive category strategies across plants and suppliers, ensuring consistent execution and alignment.
● Collaborate cross-functionally to align category growth plans with demand forecasts and operational requirements across sites.
● Conduct market intelligence and commodity cost analysis to inform sourcing decisions and proactively manage supply risks.
● Analyze spend data, prioritize sourcing initiatives, and lead complex negotiations for Capex and Opex projects.
● Lead governance and negotiation processes to ensure SLA compliance and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
● Establish and manage performance and capability monitoring frameworks for critical process and product parameters, ensuring operational rigor, governance, and continuous improvement.
● Utilize data analytics, automation tools, and digital solutions to enhance sourcing efficiency and decision-making.
● Collaborate with global Supply Chain teams and commodity managers to identify sourcing opportunities aligned with commodity strategies, participate in risk assessments, and support mitigation planning across regions.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
● Extensive experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in Indirect Sourcing across categories such as CAPEX and MRO; manufacturing background strongly preferred.
● 10+ years of experience in engineering, operations, or maintenance within manufacturing environments, including supervision of industrial facility and maintenance activities across diverse teams.
● 10+ years of expertise in facility planning, cost control, budgeting, and capital equipment appropriation.
● Proven ability to develop and implement strategic category strategies and processes that drive cost-out and value-added outcomes, combined with a visionary mindset for advancing category management through industry best practices.
● Expert in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), with a strong track record in strategic sourcing and supplier selection across indirect categories.
● Demonstrated proficiency in spend analysis and category management, driving data-informed decisions, cost optimization, and long-term value creation.
● High-impact communicator with experience engaging cross-functional and global teams.
● Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
