As PLQ MB.OS for VAN.EA project in China, you work closely with PLQT Tech. CHN and PLQ MB.OS passenger car in China, MB HQ and the production plant to establish the corresponding QM EE release process from passenger car to VAN.EA project including the R4L7 steering, EEQD release process to ensure L7 approval for VAN.EA Q Release in FBAC covering committee establishment, content preparation and management reviews steering. Coordinated key Q-milestones, supported RGA EE release planning, and consolidated China-specific features into QM validation and release procedures.
Main Tasks:
1. Establish the PLQ MB.OS role for China and cooperate with PLQ Tech. in China through alignment and exchange with HQ counterparts:
· Exchange content regarding key necessary processes with HQ PLQ MB.OS.
· Monitor HQ decision making progress and conclusion for issues also impact PbP carlines with HQ PLQ Tech and PLQ MB.OS.
· Track progress of EE maturity evaluation and issue judgement progress, acquire Q-release EE Maturity report and signed EEQD list from CBU carlines as reference for PbP carline.
2. Cooperate and support the key Q-milestones for PbP carline:
· Corporate with PLQ Vehicle and PL EE for carline timeline planning and definition.
· Collect the release recommendation from PLQ Tech. and finalize the release report.
· Provide necessary input for key Q milestones to PLQ Vehicle, incl. EE maturity result for Q-preview, Q-release and CoD.
3. Ensure and steer the MBOS release Process and EEQD release for PbP carline:
· Adapt the R4L7 process and establish relevant committees for decision making in China.
· Adapt the EEQD process and establish relevant committees for decision making in China.
· Steer and prepare together with PLQ Tech., RD Defect Manager, and PL EE for MustFix and EE Maturity Evaluation Board.
· Lead the pre-alignment meeting and then present the result on management meetings together with PLQ Telematics/AD/Body/eDrive EE/ Digital Services.
· Generate and maintain good documentation of content and meeting minutes of all necessary documents for L7 CPR approval and EEQD final confirmation.
· Ensure all pre-conditions for a L7 approval are in place and operate and coordinate in MB.OS portal to ensure approval granted for L7 CPR.
4. Coordinate overall RGA EE release plan:
· RGA EE SA code demand collection from PLQ Tech. (Telematics/ ADAS / eDrive EE/ Body) for RGA EE vehicle ordering.
· Coordinate and support the RGA EE activities, incl. but not limited to car receiving, inform and transfer key input regarding target SW status, RGA EE planning and execution.
5. Communicate and collaborate with China Requirement Working Groups, consolidate market oriented specific requirements and integrate into testing plan and release procedures:
· Keep track of China leading projects’ progress, contribute in timeline and effort evaluation, evaluate the impact and requirement to Q hub and transfer necessary key information back to the team to ensure transparency.
Qualifications
Education
- Master of automotive engineering, computer science, vehicle engineering or automotive electronic etc..
Experience
- Min. 6 years working experience in OEM or supplier for Infotainment/ Telematics and OTA or other E/E in the area of development or validation.
- Min. 5 years working experience in project management and steering in OEM
- Passion to work with cars and Infotainment/ Telematics and OTA products.
- Strong quality sense, always seek for continuous improvement. Vigilant of issue detection and prudent in root cause analysis.
- Broad knowledge about vehicle product and automotive industry. Solid knowledge of vehicle EE architecture, Infotainment/ Telematics systems and OTA update about automotive industry.
- Advanced MS Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Excellent driving skills (Chinese driving license is mandatory)
- Team spirit. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel inside China and abroad on test drives
- Fluent in English, German is plus.
